You already know how to float.
Let us remind you.
Gentle coaching for nervous beginners, tired professionals, and swimmers finding their way back to the water.
Find yourself
in the water.
Each swimmer arrives carrying something different. Hover the cards to see where they ended up.
First time in water
Gripping the wall.
Heart racing. Feet searching for the floor. Every splash feels like a threat.
"I was 34 years old and terrified of water. After three sessions with Glide, I swam a full lap. I cried."
โ Marcus Webb, Portland
Gliding to the far end.
Shoulders in your ears
Eight hours hunched forward.
The tension you carry from 9am to 5pm has a body. The water is the only thing that takes it from you.
"The water is the only place my shoulders actually drop. I didn't know how tight I was until I wasn't."
โ Priya Nair, Graphic Designer
Thirty minutes of silence.
Post-injury / post-surgery
Protecting the thing that broke.
Surgery changes your relationship with your body. Getting back in the water feels like a negotiation.
"After my hip replacement, I thought competitive swimming was over. Glide helped me qualify for Masters at 58."
โ Dr. Sandra Kim, Surgeon
Trusting your body again.
Screams at bath time
Screaming at the pool steps.
They scream at bath time. They won't let go of your arm. The pool is a terrifying, beautiful monster.
"My daughter went from refusing to put her face in to swimming underwater in 8 weeks. I couldn't believe it."
โ James & Yuki Tanaka, Parents
Jumping in before you're ready.
"Every swimmer in these cards was once exactly where you are right now."
โ Coach Elena Marsh, Glide Founder
The Method
Science meets
stillness.
Our approach is borrowed from somatic therapy, aquatic physiotherapy, and forty years of watching people fall in love with water. It is slow by design.

The Assessment Float
Before anything else, you float. We watch how your body holds water โ where you resist, where you surrender. Fifteen minutes of listening before a single technique is taught.
Breath as the Foundation
Every Glide session returns to the breath. Not because it's basic โ because it's everything. When your exhale slows, your hips rise. The water does the rest.
The Quiet Stroke
We teach swimming the way forests grow โ incrementally, without force. By session four, most students have forgotten they were afraid. That's the goal.
One stroke becomes
a whole practice.
